Family Education and Counseling

JAbU is currently partnering with three Swazi organizations (Kahle Kahle Wellness Sparkle and Shine*, and Sheros) to facilitate Growing Successful Children workshops for young mothers and caregivers in Swaziland. The workshops focus on mental health, healthy parent-child relationships, and nutrition.

The big goal of JAbU for which we are striving is to build our own training and counseling center. We want to grow our efforts in providing classes for young mothers and caregivers  about basic child development, nutrition, and healthy discipline. We even hope to help parents and caregivers create income streams for their families.

In addition to providing education and financial resources, JAbU is working on creating a program to provide mental health services and counseling to rural Swazi youth who have no access to the services they need. Currently JAbU provides counseling services over WhatsApp to teens and young adults.
